History
Single-discipline master-degree study programme
The study is oriented towards learning and understanding historical processes and problems. Studying History at the master level deepens the knowledge about World, European and Slovenian history, as well as the history of the Mediterranean area. It enables students to develop their own focus on social, economic, cultural, anthropological and political history, and to get acquainted with different current methodological approaches in dealing with and researching the past. It equips students with skills that enable an independent and critical approach to historical issues and processes.
The master graduates will obtain theoretical and practical knowledge with a possibility to work in environments requiring broad-minded staff with a knowledge and understanding about historical, social and cultural issues and processes on a local, national and international level. They may be employed in research institutes as well as governmental and non-governmental organizations and institutions.
