UP was accepted into the E-RIHS.S consortium in November 2022, and in February 2023, membership was confirmed by signature.
E-RIHS (European Research Infrastructure for Heritage Science) is the European research infrastructure for heritage science, and the national node E-RIHS.SI operates within this distributed research infrastructure network to support science for the interpretation, conservation and management of cultural heritage. The founding members are the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia (ZVKDS) and the University of Ljubljana (UL). The representative of UP and a member of the E-RIHS.si Program Committee is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zrinka Mileusnić. E-RIHS.SI plays a leading role in the field of Slovenian heritage science and supports its international integration, and enables Slovenian cultural and archival institutions to access research infrastructure and the treatment of cultural heritage objects. The hub’s goals are to support collaborative interdisciplinary research, access to cutting-edge research equipment, methodologies, data and tools, and highly qualified staff. It substantively supports research on both tangible and intangible heritage, as well as the preservation, processing, interpretation and optimal use of data.
