Members of the Namibian Faculty of Humanities work in various fields. They gave lectures on their respective fields: ‘Rethinking ethnographic displays in the post colony: A case study of the Owela Museum Diaromas, Windhoek, Namibia’ by Prof. Dr. Goodman Gwasira, lecturer and researcher in the History of Archaeology, Museology, Heritage and Prehistoric Art; ‘Insights into Namibian language landscape: the unique linguistic situation in Namibia and policy implications arising from it’ by Dr. Selma Ashikuti, a linguist; and ‘Digital Preservation of Documentary Heritage In Namibia’ by Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Uutoni, lecturer and researcher in Media, Communication Studies and Digitisation of Libraries in the Department of Social Sciences.
During their stay in Koper, the guests met with the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Prof. Dr. Irena Lazar, lecturers Assoc. Prof. Dr. Melita Lemut Bajec, Assist. Prof. Dr. Neža Čebron Lipovec and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ernest Ženko, and the coordinator for international cooperation at the UP FHŠ Valentina Bertok. Given that both faculties are very involved in research activities, they see future cooperation between them.
