Within the framework of international exchange programmes (Erasmus+, CEEPUS, Mobility of Higher Education Teachers), the International Cooperation and Development Department of UP FHŠ is committed to quality mobility of students, higher education teachers, researchers and professional staff. It maintains and develops international links, coordinates and takes initiatives for cooperation with foreign partners and coordinates procedures for the conclusion of bilateral agreements. It keeps staff and students up-to-date on international calls for applications, international scholarships, summer schools, seminars, conferences and internship offers.

International exchanges of higher education teachers, researchers and professional staff are key to establishing new international links that are the basis for high-quality cooperation between partners in scientific, teaching and professional work.

Programmes for Students

ERASMUS+ STUDY

A study exchange is an opportunity that offers students a different view of the world, broadens their horizons, and leads to new insights and new knowledge.

The Erasmus+ programme allows students to carry out part of their full-time study requirements at any level of their studies (including the preparation of their thesis, master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation, but excluding research work which is not a direct study requirement) at a partner institution abroad instead of at their home institution.

Study abroad within the Erasmus+ programme must be pre-defined in a document STUDY AGREEMENT signed by the student, the head of the study programme/dean of UP FHŠ and the Erasmus+ coordinator at the foreign institution.

ERASMUS+ TRAINEESHIP

Erasmus+ gives students and young graduates the opportunity to do a traineeship/internship in a company or similar organisation in one of the countries participating in the Erasmus+ programme, either during their studies or within 12 months of graduation.

The Erasmus+ work placement/training abroad must be related to your field of study.

Before a student applies for a study placement, he/she must have signed a LEARNING AGREEMENT FOR TRAINEESHIP The Study Agreement at UP FHŠ is signed by the placement coordinator at the department, the student and the employer.

WESTERN BALKANSHIP PROJECT

The “Western Balkanship” project, is a pilot project funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) through The Permanent Secretariat of the Adriatic Ionian Initiative Foundation (PS AII).

The Fora of Civil Society (Forum AIC and UniAdrion) have been called to implement the project that will give the Students from UniAdrion Universities the possibility to carry out a three-month cross-border mobility in selected companies from the Adriatic and Ionian Area.

For each selected student (one student from each UniAdrion University), financial support will be provided by the implementing partners (Forum AIC and UniAdrion) to partially contribute to the student’s livelihood during the mobility period. The students will also be covered by insurance for civil liability, accidents at work, and medical health through the implementing partners. No costs will therefore be charged to companies and Universities taking part in the initiative.

The objectives of this project are many: strengthening international cooperation between countries, promoting mobility for structured cross-border mobilities, creating new employment opportunities for young graduates and recent graduates, providing companies with specialised personnel and increasing the economic development of the area.

The students’ mobility experience should be in line with their University career, therefore a representative from the University will be asked to sign the “Cross-border Mobility training project” to validate the experience of the student.

CYPRUS WILDLIFE RESEARCH INSTITUTE

In the attachment below, please see the Catalogue of Internship placements that are offered by our conservation organization for the year 2024. These placements are especially suitable for students and graduates of programs related to biology, ecology, environmental protection, animal care, nature management, veterinary medicine, social media, and media production. A full list of our current programs can be reviewed following the link: https://v.cwri.net/

I believe that many students from your University would be interested in going on an internship abroad, but they may not know where to find a hosting institution and how to apply for such placements. The general information about our current placements, requirements, and other details are summarized in the catalogue below and on our volunteering web pages. We are currently preparing new internship programs (such as monitoring of donkeys, or bird nest boxes) so it may be useful for the students to regularly check our web pages. Our programs are suitable to be considered Erasmus+ placements and the living expenses can be therefore covered by an Erasmus+ scholarship.
