Master degree Study

Our faculty offers master degree study programmes in the fields of humanities, social sciences and arts. We offer single-discipline and pedagogical study programmes that are both modern and adapted to the interests of students as well as the needs of the market. In addition to the course content within the scope of the enrolled course, students of the basic study program can choose from courses of other study programs within the university or at other faculties abroad.

We actively cooperate with many foreign educational and research institutions, thus offering students the opportunity to study and do study practice at foreign faculties, participation in summer schools and conferences, and university teachers and other colleagues various study exchanges. Visits by renowned foreign lecturers and researchers within the study process are frequent.

One of our more important goals is to encourage good students to continue their studies at the PhD level, we also offer further specialization and orientation towards scientific research work in the fields of humanities, linguistics and social sciences. Choosing this type of study path opens the graduate up to excellent foundations for work in scientific and university institutions.

When applying, the candidate who chooses a double-discipline module has to choose another double discipline module or double-discipline study programme.

There are three application periods available:

• 1st period: 6. 4. – 24. 8. 2023,
• 2nd period: 7. 9. – 14. 9. 2023,
• 3rd period: 22. 9. – 25. 9. 2023 (by 12h)

Application periods (citizens of non EU countries) into master`s degree study programmes in the academic year 2023/2024

Available application periods:

• 1st period: 6. 4. – 11. 8. 2023,
• 2nd period: 18. 8. – 25. 8. 2023,
• 3rd period: 7. 9. – 14. 9. 2023
• Period for still available enrolment places: 22. 9. – 25. 9. 2023 (by 12h)

Candidates for enrolment in master’s study programmes at the UP (first year, second year (according to the Criteria for transferring between study programmes and conditions for accelerated advancement) or parallel studies) are required to apply by submitting an electronic application via the eVŠ web portal at:

https://portal.evs.gov.si/prijava/?lang=en,

using a qualified digital certificate, AAI-account (qualified digital certificate or AAI-account) or a username and password for the SI- PASS system, which is provided by the Trust Service Authority of Slovenia.
