For me, working as a researcher is the most beautiful thing in the world, because every day I find myself faced with new challenges that are not only career-related, but can also be personal, allowing me to grow and expand my knowledge. I am employed as a researcher at the Institute for Ethnic Issues in Ljubljana. I work on ethnic studies, minority protection and language policy; I participate in international scientific meetings and with other institutes across Europe.

Application periods (citizens of Slovenia and other EU countries) into doctoral degree study programmes in the academic year 2024/2025
There are three application periods available:
- 1st period: 4. 4. – 22. 8. 2024,
- 2nd period: 5. 9. – 12. 9. 2024,
- 3rd period: 25. 9. – 26. 9. 2024 (by 10h)

Available application periods:
- 1st period: 4. 4. – 9. 8. 2024,
- 2nd period: 16. 8. – 22. 8. 2024,
- 3rd period: 5. 9. – 12. 9. 2023
- Period for still available enrolment places: 25. 9. – 26. 9. 2023 (by 10h)
Applications
Candidates for enrolment in doctoral study programmes at the UP (first year, second year (according to the Criteria for transferring between study programmes and conditions for accelerated advancement) or parallel studies) are required to apply by submitting an electronic application via the eVŠ web portal at:
https://portal.evs.gov.si/prijava/?lang=en,
using a qualified digital certificate, AAI-account (qualified digital certificate or AAI-account) or a username and password for the SI- PASS system, which is provided by the Trust Service Authority of Slovenia.
