The programme of the meeting is available HERE.
The importance of the event has been recognised again this year by the Slovenian National Commission for UNESCO, which has provided financial support, and by the University of Primorska. For the opening addresses, we will be joined by the Rector of the University of Primorska, Prof Klavdija Kutnar, Ms. Špela Spanžel, Director of the Directorate for Cultural Heritage at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia, President of the Slovenian National Commission for UNESCO Prof Maja Zalaznik, and Director of the UNESCO and Secretary-General of the Slovenian National Commission for UNESCO Gašper Hrastelj.
The attached program presents the topics that will be discussed by representatives of UNESCO Chairs from Slovenia. The second part of the meeting will focus on discussing work, challenges and ways to find synergies for cooperation. We hope that meetings will become a regular event, as they contribute to the further development and recognition of UNESCO programmes in Slovenia and the importance of integrating chairs into international research and UNESCO programmes.
We will conclude the meeting with a tour of the exhibition “Koper – Between the Bell Tower and the Cranes” at the Koper Regional Museum, led by the author and UNESCO Chair coholder at the University of Primorska, Neža Čebron Lipovec.
