This accessibility statement applies to the website of the University of Primorska, Faculty of Humanities, available at: https://www.fhs.upr.si/

“The University of Primorska, Faculty of Humanities is committed to ensuring the accessibility of its main website, fhs.upr.si, in accordance with Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council, as implemented in national law by the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 30/2018).”

To meet accessibility requirements, the following features have been implemented at the system level:

• a user-friendly website that is easy to navigate,
• readable and logically structured content with simple navigation,
• internal and external links that facilitate access to related content,
• responsive design, with the content layout adapting to the screen resolution,
• appropriate colour contrast between the text and the background,
• predictable website behaviour,
• the ability to zoom in by up to 200%,
• the use of different heading levels.

The website also provides a dedicated “Accessibility Menu” plugin designed to promote inclusion and accessibility for all user groups. It enables people with different types of disabilities to perceive, understand, navigate and interact with the website in a way that meets their individual needs. Users can select the following options:

• colour schemes (black and white, dark contrast or light contrast),
• a readable font,
• underlined links,
• font size adjustment.

The website https://www.fhs.upr.si/ is partially compliant with the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act.

UP FHŠ is committed to ensuring the highest possible level of website accessibility and is gradually addressing the identified shortcomings, particularly when updating the website and republishing content.

We continuously monitor the accessibility of the website and make ongoing improvements to individual accessibility features. The website complies with the SIST EN 301 549 V3.2.1 standard, as required by the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act (ZDSMA), and can be used by people with different types of disabilities. Nevertheless, some of the content currently published does not meet all the accessibility requirements laid down in the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act. Examples of such content include:

• scanned documents in PDF format,
• various complex data tables,
• alternative text descriptions for uploaded images,
• content in formats that require dedicated applications,
• archival materials and content.

Notifications of instances of non-compliance, requests for information, and enquiries concerning content that falls outside the scope of the Directive may be sent to info@fhs.upr.si. We will respond to a notification or request within eight days of receipt. If, due to the nature of the requested content, we are unable to provide an appropriate response within this period, we will inform you when the response will be provided and explain the reasons for the delay.
