Accessibility Statement

This accessibility statement applies to the website of the University of Primorska, Faculty of Humanities, available at: https://www.fhs.upr.si/

“The University of Primorska, Faculty of Humanities is committed to ensuring the accessibility of its main website, fhs.upr.si, in accordance with Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council, as implemented in national law by the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 30/2018).”

Accessibility features provided

  • A user-friendly website that is easy to navigate

  • Readable, logically structured content with simple navigation

  • Content supported by internal and external links for better connectivity

  • Responsive design (layout adapts to different screen resolutions)

  • Appropriate colour contrast between text and background

  • Predictable website behaviour

  • Page zooming enabled up to 200%

  • Use of different heading levels enabled

“Accessibility Menu” plugin

The website also provides a dedicated “Accessibility Menu” plugin to promote inclusion and accessibility for all user groups. It enables users with various types of disabilities to perceive, understand, navigate and interact with the website more easily.

The following options are available:

  • Colour schemes (black and white, dark contrast, light contrast)

  • Readable fonts

  • Underlined links

  • Font size adjustment

Level of compliance

The website https://www.fhs.upr.si/
is partially compliant with the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act.

Non-accessible content due to disproportionate burden

he accessibility of the website is continuously monitored, and individual accessibility features are regularly improved. The website complies with the standard SIST EN 301 549 V3.2.1, as required by the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act, and is usable by persons with various types of disabilities. However, certain content currently published on the website does not fully comply with all accessibility requirements set out in the Act.

Such content includes, in particular:

  • Scanned documents in PDF format

  • Complex data tables

  • Images without appropriate alternative text

  • Content provided in formats that require the use of dedicated applications

  • Archival materials and legacy content

Notifications regarding instances of non-compliance, requests for information, or content that falls outside the scope of the Directive may be submitted to info@fhs.upr.si.

We will respond to notifications or requests within eight (8) days of receipt. Where, due to the nature or complexity of the request, a complete response cannot be provided within this timeframe, we will inform you of the expected response date and the reasons for the delay.

Enforcement procedure

If you identify any non-compliance with the provisions of the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Society Inspectors by post or by email at gp.ijs@gov.si.

Supervision of compliance with Articles 5 to 8 of the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act is carried out by the Information Society Inspectors.
