Experts from the University of Primorska were part of a Slovenian delegation of heritage researchers in Paris.

Representatives of the University of Primorska, the UNESCO Chair and the UP Faculty of Humanities, Irena Lazar, Zrinka Mileusnić and Gregor Pobezin, joined a delegation of Slovenian heritage scholars and experts that visited C2RMF and BnF - Bibliothèque nationale de France on 19 and 20 May at the invitation of the Fondation des Sciences du Patrimoine. The theme of the discussions was strengthening of cooperation between Slovenian and French specialists.

The delegation was received by the Director General for Architecture and Heritage at the Ministry of Culture, Mr. Jean-François Hébertu, and the reception was also attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia, Ms. Renata Cvelbar Bek. Both recognized the many common interests in the development of the European Heritage Data Space and paved the way towards formalizing the relationship between the two communities.

The delegats toured the C2RMF, where they set themselves the task of organizing more frequent thematic meetings in the future. At the meeting at the BnF – Bibliothèque nationale de France, achievements in the field of heritage protection and heritage science were presented.

The fruit of their joint work is also the International Workshop on Cultural Heritage Policies and Management in South-Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean, which will take place from 3 to 4 June at the University of Ljubljana.
