Description:

For the purpose of the construction of the “Logistics Centre Sermin”; it was necessary to carry out the excavation of 11 archaeological test trenches at the location in Bertoki, as the construction has been planned on the registered site of Bertoki – Archaeological Site Sermin (EŠD 1302).

The results of the archaeological test trenches showed that the area had already been devastated before, however, based on the archaeological remains discovered, we were able to detect three phases of use of the site.

The project was carried out with the participation of colleagues from the IAD UP FHŠ and students of the first cycle of study programme Archaeology (OAD UP FHŠ). The students participated in the project from the preparation for the fieldwork itself, the implementation of the fieldwork and its documentation, as well as the writing of the final report.
